Due to an unexpected leak on a 2 inch waterline on private property, our tanks were same as drained. Our crew discovered the source of the leak and a repair has been made. We are now in the process of refilling the water tanks that provide your water.
What can you do to help? We are asking that you not drip your water over the next 10 days so our tanks can catch up. The temperatures are predicted to be above freezing. If you are concerned about your inside lines freezing you can open up your cabinet under the sink which will allow more heat on the lines.
We suggest you have water for flushing and also drinking water just in case. If you are currently without water please contact us thru Report A Problem, call the office or call/text the on call phone at 865.909.5114 and we will bring you water. We are in the process of getting water to give out to our customers. If you have water we are asking that you not take water so that we can give out the water to those that do not have any water.
If you have leak on your property PLEASE let us know so we can turn the water off at your tap. If you do not have a shut off valve on your side of the tap we strongly urge you to put one in so if you do have a busted line or water leak you can turn the water off at the tap.
Again, we ask for your patience as this will take several days to recover from.
As someone who grew up here and experienced no water, no power all thru my childhood there are ways you can prepare for water outage. I would suggest keeping gallons of drinking water stored for usage all year. Water for flushing your toilet can be rain water, dishwashing water etc. Pour the water in the bowl each time you need to flush not the tank.
